This is fantastic information and really useful for starting a new YouTube channel. I have a question regarding the length of the videos: I have heard that YouTube does not promote videos that are less than 5 mins in length as “Suggested Videos”, is that true? Some of the YouTubers I have interacted with suggest me to go for videos longer than 5 mins and I was wondering if that would have any impact.
Quora is a website where users generate the content entirely. They post questions via threads and other users answer them. It’s basically a yahoo answers type social network that works like an internet forum. Both threads and answers can receive “upvotes” which signify the answer was worthy and popular. The answers with the most upvotes are put at the thread’s top.
So good advice but you forgot to mention the second most important part to getting your video watched. So youre a nobody and no one knows about you how will you ever rank? keywords and all you talked about arent going to do it so what do you do? as soon as you post your video buy likes comments views and subs to rank thats the secret sauce my friends that gives your video a jumpstart to get it to place on the first page

Meh, I disagree with your theory about using less tags. You should use all 500 characters for optimal results. There is no proof that likes/dislikes does anything to the SEO. I’m sure that is more for the content makers info and viewers warning. The description can be up to 5000 characters. Best to post your other video links. You have no proof of anything, noone does, we can only guess how youtube seo works..
Hey Brian, thanks for the great information. Most S.E.O (Trainers) leave out a lot of useful information leaving me stuck but not you man. I already signed up for the checklist and ready to work hard. I’m starting a beauty channel and beauty blog and we both know I need all the S.E.O tips that are around lol. Thanks again and looking forward to read more of your great content!

7) Social Engagment - Likes, Comments, and social shares are the name of the SEO game. If you have a high likes to dislikes ratio then Youtube will favor your video so the goal is to get as many likes as possible and as many comments as possible. I'm not going to go into detail here as I cover this in this "Youtube VIDEO SEO" tutorial so pay close attention to the end of the video.
Some great stuff here. Especially your 17 powerful back-links post which I learned a couple of new things which is awesome. Thanks! My question is Bluehost allows you to have your (Hxxp://backlinko.c0m/bluehostdiscount) redirect to your Bluehost affiliate lander? Or is it you just can’t have your PPC URL as a redirect? I am not sure that I totally understand Bluehost terms. Thanks Brian.
Thanks for sharing and explaining the Ultimate Youtube SEO guide, very helpfull! I have a question, is it better to rank hosted videos (for example Wistia) which don’t show up in Youtube or to rank Youtube videos? Hosted videos show up in google video and take the visitor directly to your page while youtube does not (only in description). Which video platform would you advise?
WOW, That’s what i’d call a detailed, step by step guide. I have one question though. When you promote your youtube video (aka building backlinks), have you noticed if it affects it’s rankings inside youtube? Of course if a video is displayed on google it certainly has more views and likes which can affect it’s rankings inside youtube search engine, but i’d like to know if simply by building links on it, i will see positive results inside youtube.
Keep in mind, this will often mean shifting the focus of your business from more general to more specific products or services. For instance, instead of exclusively offering general home renovation services, you could consider specializing in "one day bathroom renos" or "custom kitchen makeovers." These more specific keyword phrases will likely be much easier to rank for, which will mean you can start ranking that much faster.
